Thanks for another great year of golf.  Check Back for more information regarding our upcoming  golf program.

 

Dr. Aiello and Dr. Perri Summer Youth Golf Academy

Cost: $100 per person. Includes a round of golf & lunch on the last day of class.

Dates & Location: Wednesday June  - Wednesday August  at Washington Park Municipal Course. Summer golf class will include an hour long clinic at Kenosha Country Club . Lunch will be included after the clinic.

  • Beginners: 8:30am-9:30am (recommended ages 7-9)
  • Intermediate: 9:30am-10:30am (recommended ages 10-16)

Ages: Boys & girls, ages 7-16

Beginners: The beginner class will teach golfers stance, grip, swing, putting, rules, etiquette and much more.

Intermediate: The intermediate class will cover many of the same things taught in the beginner class. In addition, more techniques and advanced skills will be covered.

Instructor: Carly Werwie will be the lead instructor of this summer’s class. Carly is a former WIAA Division 1 State Golf Champion, played college golf at UW- Madison and played a few years professionally on the Symetra Tour. She is currently coaching women’s golf at Carthage College and works as an assistant golf pro at Racine Country Club. Carly is looking forward to making the game of golf fun for the kids!

New This Year: The golf class will follow the guidelines for the U.S Kids Golf Junior Program and will include instructional booklets to help track your son or daughter’s learning progress. In addition, the class will be taught by two U.S. Kids Golf certified coaches! 

All golfers are encouraged to bring their own clubs to the class. If you are in need of clubs for the class please let the Boys & Girls Club know in advance so we can prepare accordingly.

The class will conclude with a 9-hole event (August 9) where all players will get to play a round of golf with a Kenosha police officer or public official. We encourage parents to caddie for your child during the event. Lunch will be provided for all golfers after the round.
